Harry Belafonte is not just one of the greatest entertainers of our time; he has led one of the great American lives of the last century. Now, this extraordinary icon tells us the story of that life, giving us its full breadth, letting us share in the struggles, the tragedies, and, most of all, the inspiring triumphs. And now you can finally get your hands on My Song in hardcover and as an eBook.
Kirkus, in a starred review, calls My Song a “bracingly opinionated autobiography from an American original, still provocative in his ninth decade.”

I watched this documentary twice…the second time with my grandmother. It was so interesting watching her tap her foot to some of Harry Belafonte’s songs & listen to her as she gave her opinion on J.Edgar Hoover and the civil rights movement. Powerful!
Loved the documentary.
